How does Ten Point Financial Group help with life insurance?

Ten Point Financial Group is an independent life insurance agency based in Detroit that helps families across the United States. We compare term life, whole life, final expense, mortgage protection, and indexed universal life from carriers like Mutual of Omaha, Transamerica, and American Amicable. Then we apply with the carrier that gives your health and budget the best price.

The carriers we work with

One meeting. The biggest names in life insurance.

We're independent. That means we don't work for one company. We compare these carriers side by side and apply where your health and budget get the best deal.

Carrier names and logos belong to their owners. Products and pricing vary by state and carrier.

What we write

Coverage for every stage of life

Most families need one or two of these. We'll help you pick the right mix.

Young families

Term Life Insurance

Term life insurance covers you for a set number of years, like 10, 20, or 30, at the lowest price. It protects the years when the mortgage and the kids need you most.

Term vs. whole life
Lifelong protection

Whole Life Insurance

Whole life insurance covers you for your whole life, and the price never goes up. It builds cash value you can borrow from while you're alive.

Ages 50 to 85

Final Expense Insurance

Final expense insurance is a smaller whole life policy that pays for funeral costs and final bills, so your family isn't left with them. Many plans need no medical exam.

Mortgage Protection Insurance

Mortgage protection is life insurance sized to your home loan. If something happens to you, it pays so your family can keep the house. Some plans give your money back if you never use it.

Indexed Universal Life (IUL)

Indexed universal life is permanent coverage with cash value tied to a market index. It can grow when the market goes up and is protected when it drops.

How it works

Three steps to the right policy

1

We learn your story

Who counts on you, what you owe, and what you want to leave behind. Then we work out how much coverage you really need.

2

We shop the carriers

Every carrier looks at health a little differently. We know which ones treat your health best, and we show you the options side by side.

3

You decide, we stay

You pick the plan. We handle the paperwork and stay your contact for reviews, changes, and claims.

Why independent matters

Same coverage. Very different prices.

The same person can get very different prices from one carrier to the next. Shopping them for you is our job.

Questions

Life insurance questions we hear every day

How much life insurance do I need?

A good start is enough to pay off the house, replace your income for several years, and cover big costs ahead like college. For many families that lands around 10 to 12 times income. We'll run your real number with you.

How much does life insurance cost?

It depends on your age, health, how much coverage you want, and how long you want it. Term life costs the least. Whole life and final expense cost more because they last your whole life. We compare carriers to find the lowest price for you.

Do I need a medical exam to get life insurance?

Not always. Many term, whole life, and final expense plans approve you with health questions only. We'll tell you up front which carriers need an exam.

Can I get life insurance with health problems?

Often, yes. Each carrier looks at health differently. A condition one carrier rates poorly, another may approve at a good price. Knowing which carrier fits your health is a big part of our job.

Do you only help people in Michigan?

No. We're based in Detroit and help families across the country by phone and video. Tell us your state and we'll show you the carriers and plans available where you live.

Does it cost more to use an independent agency?

No. Carriers set the price, and it's the same whether you buy direct or through us. The difference is we can compare many carriers instead of one.

What's the difference between term and whole life insurance?

Term covers a set number of years for the lowest price. Whole life lasts your whole life, the price never changes, and it builds cash value. Many families use some of each.

I already have life insurance through work. Is that enough?

Work coverage usually ends when the job ends, and it's often only one or two years of pay. Most families need a policy they own. We'll look at what you have first.

Let's make sure your family is covered.

Tell us a little about you. We'll compare the carriers and walk you through your options.
